These features have their own advantages. Bluetooth is great for wireless exchange of applications and files between compatible handsets as well as listening to your favourite music on a wireless headset. Wi-Fi allows you to access the internet without paying any connection fees.

The Desire’s Multimedia Experience

The Desire can provide its users hours and hours of unmatched multimedia experience. Dedicated search keys allow the user to access their favourite audio or video file simply at the swipe of a finger.

This mobile device comes complete with a high-quality audio and video player with record and playback features. The user can playback audio and video files in various formats such as.aac, .amr, .ogg, .m4a, .mid, .mp3, .wav, .wma for audio, and.3gp, .3g2, .mp4, .wmv for video.

The Desire recognizes the growing needs of social networkers in particular and, therefore, provides access to social networking site such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Flickr, and many others.

Apart from these superb features, the Desire also provides a built-in 5 megapixel camera loaded with fantastic features. The camera has face detection capability and widescreen photo capture function. It also has autofocus feature and an LED flash that guarantees great pictures even under bad lighting conditions.

Video recording is also included at 1280×720 pixels quality. This means that the user can snap good quality still pictures and shoot videos to record precious moments and special events. The HTC Desire is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.1 (Éclair) operating system with HTC Sense. Power pack is provided by a rechargeable Lithium-Ion 1400 mAh battery.

The Desire handset is scheduled for release on April this year. However, the actual pricing of this device is yet to be announced.
